What to Make of TabTrade - A New CFD Broker in 2026

The Broker — What It Is

Tab Trade launched in Q1 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the New Zealand-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It means the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

The Software

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. Most brokers only give you one or the other. Having both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That would make the platform set once it is live.

Costs

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. 1.0 pip spreads. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is frequently below 0.2 pips. Meaning your real cost can sit below 0.5 pips. That is hard to beat for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker has no minimum.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, execution under 20ms, custom pricing. Not something typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

How Fast Are the Fills

The speed is the thing TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does it matter? For short-term trading, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is they invested in proper execution. That is something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is under the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No government-backed safety net. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Lots of tier-1 alternatives out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. It should be part of your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.

Welcome Offer
